About Us
Piscataway Martial Arts is a Children's Mixed Martial Arts program now offered at the Piscataway Community Center YMCA.
Originally founded in 1994 by Sensei George Maldonado, as Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts the program was offered to Piscataway families with the main "dojo" located at Conackamack Middle School.
As interest in martial arts continued to grow, the Piscataway Children's Martial Arts was formed in 2005 in order to better serve the youth of Piscataway; ages 6 to 14. Sensei Ray Buaron was tasked with the growth and development of the Children's Mixed Martial Arts. With a great deal of help and support from parents and volunteers, the Children's Mixed Martial Arts program has grown to the level of success and popularity that it offers today. The program emphasizes training on developing Focus, Self-Discipline, Self-Confidence, Determination, and Self-Improvement. And "along the way", we also train in highly effective personal self-defense skills using techniques and movements of various Martial Arts disciplines.
As of May 29, 2015, Piscataway Martial Arts was recognized by Professor Ernie Cates, Founder of Neko Ryu Goshin Jitsu.
